Moondance is on MySpace and LiveJournal:

We're back! Join us at Moondance 2009, a festival celebrating the harmony of our community, in the tradition of the civilized savage at the mercy of the woods. Bullshit, bullshit, ad nauseam. This year *I* am doing the main ritual! Yep, I got talked into it... :)

Have you registered yet? Currently there are 15 people pre-paid, and 10 listed as pay at the gate. To find out if you've paid yet, just email me, and I'll tell you! Also, we have *two* registered vendors so far, and *one* class, so there's plenty of room left still. See the list of vendors, staff, and volunteers at < http://www.faeriefaith.net/MDnews.html>.

NEWS: A couple of new volunteer jobs and staff jobs (including clean-up and security) have been added; to see these jobs to to < http://www.faeriefaith.net/MDregister.html#Volunteer>. Do note that all jobs are by application only.

Moondance 2009 will feature classes throughout the weekend on various topics, usually including drumming, sacred massage, chanting, and meditation. Other activities include an opening ritual on Friday night, a POT-LUCK feast (bring your own plates, bowls, and utensils; no food prep provided, no storage in Kitchen for food) on Saturday night, and an open ritual to celebrate the dance of the seasons on Sunday night. All nights will feature bonfires, music, dancing, and general revelry.

For Moondance, I'd like to make a loud call-out for rituals, rituals, and *more* rituals, including the opening ritual for Friday night. Also, snag the best spots on the schedule by being one of the first to sign up to do a class! We'd especially like the emphasis this year to be more on the spiritual/religious side of things.

Registration ( http://www.faeriefaith.net/MDregister.html) is just $30 until March 1. After that date the price increases, and will be $50 at the gate. Save money, register now!

More news: Papa James & Mama Rita are now managing Dragon Hills (the camping/festival portion), and have a new website up - < http://www.dragonhillsretreat.com/>. They have already made several improvements to the land, and will continue to make more as the year goes on (we now have four flushing toilets in the Great Hall! How cool is that?). They have a work weekend about once a month if you'd like to help out, and they have several other festivals and events planned at Dragon Hills this year. See their website for updates and info.

And speaking of other events, Duckstock The Party (run by Papa James & Mama Rita) is scheduled for the weekend immediately following Moondance! So for those of you so inclined (Duckstock is an adult party), you can attend two awesome back-to-back festivals. :) To register for Duckstock, please visit < http://www.duckstocktheparty.com/>.

If for any reason you do not wish to receive these mailings and/or emails, just let me know and I'll remove your name.

Thanks!!

Linda
